Create a Positive Environment for Your Kids to Take On Challenges. 

One of the most rewarding things a parent or an adult for that matter can do is encourange a child to do whats hard, what might be scary or something they don't know anything about. 

Often times we forget as parents kids may not understand its okay to not know how to do something.  Its okay to be afraid of something new.  Mostly its okay to fail at it.  The one key point I make sure my sons know, its NOT okay to not try.  I never want my kids to think they CAN'T do something.  I promise you, you can do anything.  It might not be perfect the first time, nor even the 100th time but you can do it.  Maybe it's something they are afraid to do, but they have to do, they can do it. 

As a mom of 3 boys I want them to always know there are so many hard things in life but it gets easier as we step through doors, as we try new things.  That is how you know if it might be something you want to do again.  

Something as simple as trying a new food for the first time, driving a car for the first time.  Talking in front of their peers for the first time.  Things as adults we do everyday, but we forgot how it was to be doing it for the first time.  

I'm no expert but I can say over some time of watching my own children and other children around them, it can change their life forever.  Challenging them in a healthly loving way can make them be the amazing adult you know they can be.  Not chanllenging them in a healthy way, may not help them achieve the goal we want for all kids.
